Join young Canadians who are taking action to evaluate all perspectives concerning natural resources and the environment in Canada.

This past summer, we challenged students from across Canada to think differently. We brought them to Calgary to learn firsthand the challenges our natural resource industries face. We asked them to confront these challenges and find common ground with each other. They delivered.

ALBERTA

Alberta's energy sector contributes more than $70 billion dollars to Canada’s GDP.

Aluminum produced in Quebec is the most environmentally friendly in the world, with 97% of the power used to produce it coming from renewable sources.

Over the past decade, the offshore oil & gas industry has accounted for 25% of NL&L’s GDP.

PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND

Despite being Canada’s smallest province by landmass, PEI produces more potatoes than any other province in Canada.

New Brunswick has the largest oil refinery in Canada at 350,000 barrels per day of refined product.

In 2019, Nova Scotia was Canada’s #1 Seafood exporter with $2.3 billion worth of exports to over 80 countries.
